The end of this chapter

They are here, finally. Praise the Lord.

McPherson saga.

8:30 A.M. and almost to Missoula, MT. None of us could sleep well last night. See them soon.

McPherson finish one more day.

They are spending the night in Dillon, MT as planned. Roads were clear and dry. Praise the lord once again. They are 370 miles out and I am ready for them to be home. TOMORROW!!!!

Today with the McPhersons

At ten this morning, eleven where they are in Salt Lake City, Utah, they were stopping to get new tires and lunch. Then they plan to make it to Dillon, Montana for the night. That will make them just 317 miles from Spokane. Struday should be an easy drive.

McPherson's- one more down and less than two to go

Cheri called from their Motel in Beaver, Utah a few minutes ago. Emily was already asleep. They have 917 miles to go, according to Google maps. It is supposed to take them 12 hours and 50 minutes. I am sure they will all be VERY glad to stop traveling for a short time. They will be very, very glad to be home in Whidbey Island and not travel for a long time. They will want to walk everywhere :):) I think I would.

New Map

Just adding onto what Mom said.
I put a box in the mail to Monty and Jackie's house with goodies for the girls and little stuff for Monty, Jackie, and Mom and Dad. We love you all.

McPherson's adventure continues

They made it to Gallup, NM last night. I called at nine this morning and they were near Flagstaff, AZ getting ready to turn NORTH, finally. I Googled mapped their way and it said 18 more hours of driving to get here. My stars, it is a fer piece from Tampa to here.

They saw a little snow in OK and she said a dusting this morning but blue sky for now. I just went to K-Mart and got them gloves, they boys at least.

They should soon be on the one last highway that lead all the way to Spokane. Well, it merges with 90 so I guess the number does change near Butte, MT. Whatever, they are making it.

Christmas 07

Toys for who?
I'm sure I'm on Jackie's list for posting the picture so get the 'rest of the story' from her.
Princess PJs with princesses inside.

Another day on the road for the McPs

Cheri called and they were getting close to Amarillo, TX. I am sure they are there by now. I could not get to the computer right away because Grand daughters were watching 'school' on it.

They hope to press on to Gallup, NM, just a few miles east of Arizona, to spend the night. Brave souls. We are getting even more excited to see them.

So, here is our little table all tricked out:
Steamed Broccoli
Jumbo Black Olives, and the Mini Pickles were hot and Spicy- really good!
The gravy was good, but I've made better.
The brined turkey I'll do again for sure.
Whole Grain Stuffing with Water Chestnuts and Pepperoni was fabulous
Mashed baby reds (butter and sour cream the only additions)
Cranny Berry relish from Haggen I love their stuff
The Peach Spritzer was tart and refreshing
The apricot cookies under the glass dome are a recipe from Taste of home and were great.

We ate and ate. Craig ate till he was full, then went on to eat till he was tired.
We then went to see Alien vs Predator-Requiem and it was stupid and lame. We laughed and laughed. Not what the writers of a horror movie probably had in mind.
Then we came home and had pumpkin pie.
Craig raved and raved about the food, he always makes me feel so good.

That was the perfect part.

The only snag is what you see below. While I was re-arranging things I accidentally tripped walking by the tree. I fell into it and then when it fell I fell ONTO it. Craig was napping and it woke him up and scared him to death. He came and pulled me out of the tree, and helped me clean up the mess. (But not before I had some photos). Years ago, I had a tree fall over in spectacular fashion, scattering broken ornaments all over my formal living room (the grey house with the pool). I neglected to take photos then, and regretted it.

McPhersons on the move

The latest is that they arrived in OK City at four this evening.

Good map C but they are staying south for another day before they cut north. They are going through Albuquerque, NM. A little longer but that is the plan unless they change their minds after getting a weather report on Joyce's computer tonight. They are all fine. No more long stops until they arrive in Spokane.

It is snowing here right now.

Eyeballing it

I wanted a map and a graph to show all of Cheri's blog friends, and I thought I'd share it here too. Google maps is so cool. You type in where you are leaving from and going to, and it will plan a route for you.

If you don't like the route, grab the line and drag it to the cities you want to visit. The directions will also change accordingly. How cool is that?

I don't know what color their suburban is, but red showed up the best.

Much Love,

C

McPhersons on the go

Cheri just called from just out side Little Rock, AK. They are doing fine. It is 150 miles to the border of OK and then on to OK City. They got their tire fixed, for a small fee, and are good to go until they can buy snow tires at a Les Schwab.

Website Revamp

I've been working really hard on my website to make it so that people can buy photos right off the internet. The cool part is that the company that sets it all up takes care of the credit card billing, they print and ship all the photos to my clients directly, and they send me a check.

The bad part is they take a big chunk of the money right up front. That means the prices for prints is HIGH. But, I wasn't selling any photos at all after the weddings were over, so anything will be an improvement.

But, the good part again is that prints I order directly from my same old place will be the same prices and I can still give that good value to my clients. Anyway, I'm pleased with how it looks and how it works.

I got the tree on there but I do not know how to turn it upright. I'm learning. Now I will try to get the fireplace on. Ok, I got two of the piano and a picture from our church party last night.

Rachel loved her birthday gift.

I am trying to post a picture from my new camera for the first time. Here goes.
Not bad because I was in the back of the church. This is Christa's wedding.

Busy Week!

Well, this is a very busy time for me, but I thought I would write a quick hello anyway. I am doing some sub work for two accounts this week. It is a little crazy, but will bring in some extra money. Tomorrow I will be decorating for the Christmas banquet at the church. I always enjoy the trouble we get into doing that. Friday I will be working at the school as usual. Mrs. Sarah Miller is scheduled to be induced that morning so Bro. Miller will not be there (Unless something happens before then). They are great kids though and haven't given me any problems in the past. Friday evening is the banquet. We always have a great time and I'm looking forward to it. Saturday will be filled with lots and lots of paperwork and hopefully a little cleaning. My mom will be here next week and will spend several weeks with us. After that she will be in and out for a little while before heading off to the other side of the state and some up in Canada. Please keep praying for her leg. Being in the car is very hard since she can't stretch it out like she needs to.
I get lots of inquiries about how I'm doing since last Tuesday's visit to the dentist. Actually a visit would have been shorter. It was more of an extended stay!!!! Anyway, I am doing very well. The only time I have any problems at all is if something is too hard to chew, or (as I figured out the other night while out with my friends) if I laugh too much. My jaw gets tired quickly. I can still talk just as much though so don't worry. I just have to get more talking done in a shorter amount of time. All in all though I'm doing wonderful and I thank you all for your prayers and help.
I will have to sign off for now. Have a wonderful day and I'll talk at you later.

Surgery Day

Ok, so surgery day didn't go as well as we had hoped. Monty got off work and took me to the dentist. I'm so glad He came because I didn't feel like driving after it was said and done. They gave me an hour and a half slot and I filled three hours of it. The first tooth took an hour alone and they found a large cyst at the tip of the root. The others were slightly easier to work with, but not much. I don't numb all the way so it was pretty painful, but at least it is now over. He was a very good doctor and did everything he could to make me more comfortable. With the pain meds I'm doing well and of course mom is helping out a lot. A man in our church gave Monty a check for $400 on Sunday to help with the expenses. God really does provide. It is a humbling thing to be the one receiving, but God knew what we needed. Have a good day. I love you all.

Christmas Party

John and I went to probably our one and only Christmas party this season. It was very nice!!! Here are some pictures to enjoy! It was beautifull!
